empower ME Movement

ALLISON HILL

I believe in creating an open atmosphere where dance and teamwork come together. The music, the steps, and the history all influence class each week. Many times we, as a class, are working on different things and need to be able to do our best, move on from our failures, and listen to the music.

“Consistency is key. Fun is necessary.”

Instructor Biography

Allison grew up and trained as a young student in San Diego. In her late teens, she began taking a class from Chance Taylor and Claudia Gomez. Two teachers that provided new influence on her tap dancing and approach. During this time Allison worked administration for two studios and was able to train from an extensive list of teachers in different styles with a focus on tap dancing. Her local knowledge was expanded by traveling to workshops and classes on a somewhat regular basis in Los Angeles and New York. More recently she was Co-Director of SD Tap Fest and continues to study dance while taking an interest in voice, acting, and improv. Allison is thrilled to be involved with Danceology Tap Co. and enjoys learning from Megan McBride Moore and all the amazing students and staff.
