I believe in leading with positivity and support. You get out what you put in and that is a two way street between dancer and teacher. I teach many styles of dance and many levels of dance. Whether it is introducing the fundamentals of ballet in beginner and ballet one levels or teaching technique, jazz, contemporary, musical theater or high school pom. One thing remains the same in all of my classes. Every class is based on a strong fundamental technical background. I strive to push every student to create a strong technical vocabulary that they can take into any classroom they may enter.
Instructor Biography
KC Constantino-Hellenkamp is originally from New Jersey. In her early career she danced professionally in both NYC, New Jersey and Europe. KC danced in many theater productions as well as industrials and music videos. In her early 20s KC moved to California where she danced in industrials, TV and music videos in Los Angeles. She then transitioned into teaching and mentoring students in a larger capacity. She taught and choreographed at an elite level competitive dance academy in Southern California for 22 years. She also has coached at Cathedral Catholic High School from 2019-present. KC’s students have gone on to have professional careers on both stage and screen, attending top university dance programs and top tier university dance teams.

Which historical figure would you most like to meet and why?
Maya Angelou. I would love to hear about her experiences. Not only am I intrigued by her life and beliefs. The little that I’ve heard recordings of her speak always seem inspirational, well educated and humbling.
